Fridley School Board approves agenda, appoints member and adjourns special meeting

The Fridley School Board convened a special meeting on June 2, 2025, at 3:30 PM and immediately approved the meeting agenda on a 5–0 vote (motion by Ross Meisner; second by Sara Jones). Board Chair Jake Karnopp and four other members were present; two student representatives were absent.
During the business portion the board passed a resolution to appoint Sara Schreiner to the board to serve the remainder of the unexpired term ending the first Monday in January, 2028. The appointment motion was moved by Avonna Starck and seconded by Nikki Auna and passed on a roll-call vote, 4–1. The board then voted unanimously to adjourn the special meeting at 5:17 PM.
