During committee and staff reports the board heard several operational updates.
Transportation staff reported the 5th bus route is running and the district has seen a few new enrollments linked to the route. Community Education staff (Melaine McNeil) reported on a Hot Rods & Hot Dogs event scheduled for Sept. 25 and plans for a monthly kids cooking class. Early childhood reports noted roughly 15 students in each of the Honeybees and Little Bees classes and an EC screening date of Oct. 1. The district—s facilities/DFO report said most projects are finished and noted an upcoming Fire Marshall visit; the minutes also record that the district received a $40,000 grant from the Minnesota Department of Education for security updates.
No formal action beyond receipt of the reports was recorded; the updates were accepted as part of committee and staff reports in the minutes.
