Superintendent's report highlights summer programs, graduation milestone and facility projects

District administrators reported Camp Invention success, summer school midway through session, a first-time regional golf qualifier, and planned summer facility upgrades including carpeting, new furniture and elementary basement work.
At the June 11 meeting the superintendent's report summarized student and program activity across the district. Staff said Camp Invention was successful and that summer school is halfway complete. The board recognized Cole Swanson for qualifying as a regional golf competitor, the first such qualifier in the district’s history.
Administrators told the board about a state 'model draft' set to affect the 2025–26 school year, including changes described as flexibility with attendance, a new diploma and new accountability measures. The report also listed planned summer projects: some classrooms will receive new carpet and furniture, the elementary basement will be worked on, and parking-lot repairs are planned. Staff thanked Mrs. Schnick, administration and custodial staff for graduation support.
