Hill City reports 5th bus route in service; community education plans events

District transportation reported that a 5th bus route is up and running and that a few new student enrollments have followed the service change. The board recorded that the district met with NorTran to discuss options prior to launching the route. "5th bus route is up and running. We have had a few new enrollments due to the new bus route," the minutes state as part of the transportation update.
Community Education reported programming plans including a Hot Rods and Hot Dogs event scheduled for Sept. 25 and an in-development monthly cooking class for youth titled Kids in the Kitchen. The board approved the Community Education Coordinator Agreement (see personnel article) to support those programs.
