Clerk Ken Chase called the Sulphur Springs Union School District special meeting to order at 5:30 PM on July 6, 2026, noting Trustees Shelley Weinstein and Lori MacDonald were absent. Mr. Michael Hall led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The board approved the meeting agenda on a motion by Trustee Paola Jellings, seconded by Trustee Denis DeFigueiredo; the motion passed by a 3-0 voice vote. Clerk Chase asked for advanced requests to address the board and for comments regarding the agenda; the minutes record no requests and no comments. "Mr. Chase called the Special Meeting to order at 5:30 PM and noted the absence of Mrs. Weinstein and Mrs. MacDonald," the minutes state.
Later in the meeting, the board moved into closed session at 5:32 PM to discuss personnel matters under Government Code Section 54957 and reconvened to open session at 5:35 PM. The meeting was adjourned at 5:37 PM.
