Strategic Planning lead Sarah Hunter walked the committee through prioritized strategies and the new standardized progress‑reporting format designed to improve consistency and audience accessibility.
Staff presented SMART proficiency targets for literacy and reading: the district aims for 65% of students to be measured proficient on the earlyReading Fall FASTbridge screener and 50% proficiency on fall aReading, with a winter growth target of 53% meeting growth targets. Presenters also outlined implementation milestones for curriculum adoption (UFLI, i‑Ready, Open Up), literacy training (LETRS and CORE OL&LA), and a SOEI revision task force that plans to recommend updated observation language by Feb. 2025.
