Committee told September financial statements couldn’t be compiled after bank technical issue

Committee staff reported that a technical issue at one of MPS’s banks prevented compilation and presentation of the September 2024 financial statements; staff provided written responses to earlier questions instead.
The Finance Committee was informed Oct. 15 that the September 2024 financial statements could not be compiled or presented because of a technical issue at one of Minneapolis Public School District’s banks. Meeting minutes state: "Due to a technical issue one of MPS’ banks, the September financial statements were not able to be compiled nor presented." (Staff member)
In place of the statements, staff provided responses to questions posed at the Sept. 17 Finance Committee meeting. Committee members did not take additional formal action during the meeting on the financial statements; the issue was recorded for follow-up.
