Enrollment edges up; technology equipment arriving and Community Ed reports strong participation

Superintendent Froke reported enrollment increased by five students compared with December and the same time last year, and told the board the district served just under 4,300 more meals than at this time last year.
Mr. Evenson reported that Community Education's winter/spring sessions are underway and a summer brochure is being created; the 21st Century Team highlighted the LPGE Reading Club with Jen Olson as the teacher. Kelsey Paurus reported that the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) will reclassify activities soon and LPGE has requested Class 1A for the next two years; Paurus also noted the school was awarded a football coaches clinic season pass to train football coaches. Mitchell Ganske updated the board that approved computer and equipment purchases have started arriving, a new 100‑inch TV was installed in the secondary commons, and he is finalizing the E‑rate for FY25.
Tammy Cebulla and Barton Rud reported Snow Daze was successful and thanked donors; elementary events included indoor inflatables due to cold weather and an upcoming "Donuts and Books" event for the elementary school.
