Assistant Superintendent Michael Hall presented Memoranda of Understanding with the Sulphur Springs District Teachers Association: an MOU extending previous agreements for Learning Support Teachers; an expansion of the $1,200 stipend to include Advanced Choir (previously the stipend applied only to Advanced Band outside school hours); and a prorated $500/week stipend for administrators serving as Administrator in Charge of Extended School Year for eligible credentialed unit members. The Board approved each MOU by voice vote (5‑0).
The Board also adopted several policy updates to align with the California School Boards Association (CSBA) sample language and recent legislation, including Board Policy 4100 (Certificated Personnel), BP 4161.3 (Professional Leaves), Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 4361.9 (Catastrophic Leave for confidential/management), BP 6170.1 (Transitional Kindergarten age clarification), and Board Bylaw 9200 (Limits of Board Member Authority). Trustees recorded unanimous approval for the policy package.
