Dr. Catherine Kawaguchi presented the School Plans for Student Achievement (SPSAs) developed for eight of the District’s nine school sites for the 2026–27 school year, explaining that the plans align with goals in the District Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and detail site‑specific strategies, expenditures and actions to support academic and social‑emotional outcomes.
The Board approved SPSAs for Canyon Springs Community School, Leona Cox Community School, Valley View Community School, Golden Oak Community School, Mint Canyon Community School, Mitchell Community School, Sulphur Springs Community School and Pinetree Community School. Dr. Kawaguchi noted the Fair Oaks Ranch SPSA was not approved because the School Site Council composition was not balanced between staff and parent/community members; that plan will be brought back for approval after the composition is corrected in the fall.
