Menahga board adopts three policies, advances four for review/readings
Summary
The board approved second readings and adoption of policies 506, 604 and 606 and advanced reviews/first readings of Policies 103, 206, 522 and 524 during its Dec. 15 meeting.
On a motion by David Treinen, seconded by Cherie Peterson and carried unanimously, the Menahga Public School Board approved the second reading and adoption of three district policies: policy 506 (Student Discipline), policy 604 (Instructional Curriculum) and policy 606 (Textbooks and Instructional Materials).
Separately, the board recorded motions approving the review of Policy 103 (Complaints — Students, Employees, Parents, Other Persons) and the first readings of Policy 206 (Public Participation in School Board Meetings/Complaints about Persons at School Board Meetings and Data Privacy Considerations) and Policy 524 (Internet Acceptable Use and Safety Policy). The board also approved the review of Policy 522 (Title IX Sex Nondiscrimination Policy, Grievance Procedure and Process). All the policy motions are recorded in the minutes as carried unanimously.
