Menahga board adopts $2.28 million levy after Truth in Taxation presentation

"Now Therefore, Be it resolved by the School Board of Menahga Public Schools, Menahga, Minnesota, that the levy to be levied in 2025 to be collected in 2026 is set at $2,281,493.99," the resolution introduced by board member Katie Howard states.
The motion to approve the levy was seconded by Julia Kicker and passed on a recorded 5-1-0 vote, with board member Cherie Peterson voting against the resolution. The minutes note that an opportunity for questions from the public was offered during the Truth in Taxation hearing; no public questions or challenges to the levy amount are recorded in the minutes. The minutes record that the clerk of the Menahga School Board was authorized to certify the proposed levy to the County Auditor.
