The Long Prairie‑Grey Eagle School Dist School Board voted unanimously April 28 to accept bids for a track and turf project with three specified alternates, approving a total contract amount of $2,010,107.44.
Jeremy Anderson of Design Tree joined the special meeting via Zoom to review project details and answer questions. District staff members Brad Evenson and Kelsey Paurus described turf installations they had observed at other schools and discussed possible alternates. Member Zastrow moved to accept the bids with alternates 3 (visitor bleacher pad installation), 4 (a 5‑foot bituminous sidewalk) and 5 (replacement of concrete under the existing grandstand); Member Wolf seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
The board recorded the contract amount of $2,010,107.44. The motion as approved authorizes the district to proceed with the contractor and the listed alternates; the board did not record additional conditions in the minutes. The board discussed project details with the consultant and staff before the vote.
