Board Chair Carrie Lounsberry recognized Board Clerk Shana Dukes and Board Member Darcie Pierson for completing all four phases of the Minnesota School Boards Association 'Learning to Lead' training. Directors Abel Riodique and Megan Blazek recognized paraprofessionals across the district for Paraprofessional Recognition Week and thanked them for their dedication and support of students.
Membership reports included: AMSD met Jan. 9 with routine business and an Executive Committee election; the Inver Grove Heights B.E.S.T. Foundation met Jan. 25 to review scholarships for 2026; and several board members attended the MSBA Leadership Conference Jan. 16–17, which focused on "Inspiring Connection, Teamwork, and Courage." Board Member Niemioja also noted his election onto the MSBA board.
