He stated the district maintains comprehensive safety protocols and a strong working relationship with the local police department.
Bernhardson also said the district is "providing short-term remote learning opportunities for students who are unable to attend school due to safety concerns," and invited families to contact their schools for support. Board Vice Chair/Treasurer Klingner echoed reassurance to families: "I want to be clear to our families that I believe students are safe when they come into our schools. We want you to feel safe, seen, and protected. Our doors are open, our halls are safe, and your children are wanted here."
