The Inver Grove Heights Schools Board completed its annual officer elections on Jan. 12, 2026.
For School Board Chair, Carrie Lounsberry and Liz Niemioja were nominated. The Board conducted a roll-call vote, which resulted in five votes for Carrie Lounsberry and two votes for Liz Niemioja; Lounsberry received the majority and was re-elected. The minutes record a subsequent motion to cast a unanimous vote for Lounsberry and note the motion carried 7-0.
Jacob Klingner was the sole nominee for the combined Vice Chair and Treasurer role and was declared elected by acclamation after nominations were closed; the minutes record the procedural motions carried 7-0. Shana Dukes was the only nominee for School Board Clerk and was likewise declared elected by acclamation.
The minutes list the mechanics of the vote and the names of nominees and movers/seconders but do not include individual roll-call votes by member in a clear mapping to each candidate beyond the final tallies for chair (5–2).
