Board sets meeting calendar and affirms standard operating procedures for 2025

At its Dec. 16 organizational work session the Wayzata Board of Education reviewed district Standard Operating Procedures and a draft calendar of meetings for 2025.
The materials in the board packet state that "Unless otherwise indicated, Regular School Board meetings are scheduled to convene at 7:00 p.m. at Creekside District Office, 16000 41st Ave. N., Plymouth, MN 55446 and School Board Work Sessions begin at 4:00 p.m." The packet lists dates for Regular and Work Session meetings through December 2025 and notes that special meeting locations may be posted when larger audiences are expected.
The standard operating procedures that the board reviewed also reaffirmed procedures for agenda development, the use of a consent agenda for routine items, distribution timing (packets released to board members at least three days before a regular meeting), and that Robert’s Rules of Order shall govern meeting conduct when questions arise.
The district packet reminds board members that officers for the coming year (Chair, Clerk, Treasurer and a customary Vice‑Chair) will be elected at the Organizational/Regular meeting in January. The documents in the packet are advisory and intended to guide the board’s organization ahead of formal votes at the January meeting.
