WEM board rescinds three 1994 policies and adopts updated governance rules
Summary
The board voted to rescind Policies 537, 538 and 539 (1994) and adopted a set of governance policies (01, 202, 203, 203.1, 203.2, 203.5, 203.6); first readings were held for several other operational policies.
The board took multiple policy actions at the April 28 meeting. In separate roll-call motions the board rescinded Policy 537 (Student Pregnancy and Parental Status, 1994), Policy 538 (Anti-Discrimination, 1994) and Policy 539 (Title IX Grievance Procedures, 1994). Each rescind motion passed by roll call with seven members voting in favor.
Earlier in the meeting the board held first readings of Policy 704 (inventory and fixed assets), Policy 706 (acceptance of gifts), Policy 710 (extracurricular transportation) and Policy 721 (Uniform Grant Guidance regarding federal revenue). The board also approved governance and meeting procedures policies (01, 202, 203 and related subpolicies) in a motion by June Rezac, seconded by Brenda Heuss; the vote was recorded as seven in favor.
