Resident urges board to restore fuller minutes and clearer agendas for transparency
Summary
A resident urged the Mendocino City CSD board to reconsider its 'action-only' minutes format adopted in 2020, saying it obscures who raised issues and who voted. The resident asked the board to agendize a discussion and a vote next month to adopt a more informative format.

During public expression the board heard a request to revisit the district's minutes and agenda format. A resident said the district's current "action-only" minutes โ adopted in May 2020 โ omit discussion details and can make it difficult for the public to follow who raised issues or how board members voted.
"Will you please agendize a discussion for next month and a vote to implement a more effective agenda and minutes format that both protects the organization and is also more informative and transparent?" the resident asked. The chair thanked the speaker and noted board members cannot respond substantively to comments on non-agendized topics during the meeting but said the comment was accepted for consideration.
