Board approves pump inspection, outfall inspection and clamp fabrication; installation deferred pending survey

Ryan, the district's superintendent, told trustees the second pump will be inspected and staff will return with recommendations on whether to rebuild or replace it. "We don't know what they're gonna find when they disassemble it," he said, adding that the district would seek grant reimbursement for eligible costs after execution of the recycled-water user agreement.
On the outfall, the board approved an annual survey by Alpha Diving for $16,000 and authorized fabrication of new stainless-steel clamps for about $9,450; staff recommended deferring an installation dive until the inspection confirms it is necessary. The board also discussed budgeting roughly $40,000 in the next fiscal year to cover potential installation and related outfall work if needed.
