Finance Director Mr. Pillar presented a proposed budget committee calendar and the board voted to approve it as resolution 8.A.4. The minutes state the calendar will be published upon approval. The motion to approve the calendar was moved by Spencer Rockwell and seconded by Ruth Stevens; the minutes record "Motion Carried (all voted yes)."
Mr. Koskela introduced the Long Range Planning Committee and announced the first community meeting will be March 20 with additional sessions in April (weekly over four weeks). Because of public meeting laws, the minutes remind board members that no more than two board members may attend any single community meeting; board members were asked to check calendars and notify the superintendent if they wish to participate.
The calendar approval completes a procedural step ahead of budget committee public engagement; further budget deliberations will occur at the budget committee meeting scheduled for May.
