YME board accepts several resignations and approves custodial hires

The Yellow Medicine East School Board accepted resignations from Bert Raney Elementary paraprofessionals Carolyn Olson, Carisa Peterson and Deb Posch (the latter listed as a resignation/retirement). Motions to accept those resignations were made by Laurel Christianson, seconded by Amanda Lecy, and carried.
The board approved two hires: Harley Labat as Summer Custodian (motion by Abbey Richter, second by Sonja Pederson) and Shelly Hansen as Lead Custodian (motion by Abbey Richter, second by Sonja Pederson). The board also approved a Memorandum of Agreement for the Lead Custodian with MSEA and created a 0.167 FTE computer applications teacher position. These personnel actions were approved by recorded motion during the June 9 meeting.
