Spring City approves event sponsorships, fireworks contract and a tourism commission appointment

For a Phoenix Bass Fishing League (BFL) tournament scheduled Oct. 12–19, 2025, the board approved a $7,500 sponsorship to be paid from the Spring City Hotel/Motel Occupancy Tax; Vice-Mayor Bauer seconded Commissioner Murphy’s motion. The minutes record Commissioner Kevin Jenkins voting Nay while the motion carried.
Vice-Mayor Jody Bauer and Commissioner Reba Murphy moved and seconded approval of Ava Wilson as a board member of the Spring City Tourism and Events Commission; that appointment carried unanimously.
