The Spring City commission voted on Sept. 26, 2024 to proceed with offering either Plan S or Plan P through Blue Cross and Blue Shield for municipal employees. Commissioner Kevin Jenkins moved to proceed and Commissioner Reba Murphy seconded; the motion carried with unanimous Aye votes from all commissioners.
The minutes state that if an employee selects Plan P (the buy‑up plan), the employee will be responsible for paying the difference in premium. The recorded increase in the plan is $81.86 per month; the minutes do not break down employer versus employee cost sharing beyond the buy‑up responsibility, nor do they record an effective date for the change. The minutes were attested by City Recorder Brenda Dodson.
