Superintendent Aaron Duff presented a list of donations and two foundation grants for board acceptance. Donors included Umapine Creamery ($500) for the district band; Carl and Tara Wheeler ($700) for Mac‑HI boys basketball; Scott and Rebecca Hendricks ($100) and Celinda Timmons ($500) for Central wrestling; David and Suezie Conlee ($100) for cross country; and Meredith Corliss ($100) for Gib Olinger students. The board also accepted grants from the Milton Freewater Area Foundation totaling $22,000 for Ferndale school band instruments ($12,000 in December and $10,000 in January) and a separate $1,500 grant for outdoor tables at McLoughlin High School.
Board members moved and seconded a motion to approve the consent agenda, which included the donations and grants as presented; the motion was approved unanimously. The consent agenda approval also included routine items such as financial reports and the Dec. 9, 2024 meeting minutes.
