The Klamath County School District Board approved its consent agenda and a set of action items on April 17, including grant awards totaling $20,836.22, personnel actions, contracts and listed surplus items. Marc Staunton moved approval of the grant awards; the motion passed 5-0.
The board also approved first-reading updates to travel and expense policies (BHD, DLC, and DLD) and adopted DLD-related administrative regulations for information. On second reading the board adopted policy AC and AC-AR (nondiscrimination and complaint procedure) as noted in a separate article.
Board members debated the proposed 2025-26 regular meetings calendar after concerns were raised about two summer meeting start times. A motion to adopt the calendar as originally presented was withdrawn; Jill O'Donnell then moved adoption of the calendar with July and August start times changed to 5:00 PM. "I move we adopt the 2025-2026 School Board regular meetings calendar with the described modification," O'Donnell said. The final motion passed 4-1 with Steve Lowell voting nay.
The board also readopted a revised 2025-26 budget calendar. The meeting adjourned at 6:31 PM.
