North Bend High recognizes Class of 2026: $2.1M in scholarships, 10 valedictorians

Principal Shane Brown briefed the board on graduation highlights for the Class of 2026. The high school had ten valedictorians, seven of whom addressed the commencement ceremony. The graduating seniors collectively earned $2.1 million in scholarship awards and completed more than 2,000 college-level credits through Southwestern Oregon Community College.
The district recognized students' accomplishments and thanked families, staff and the community for their support. The board also received a brief update that the district is recruiting a new music teacher to maintain a comprehensive K–12 music program following the high school band's state championship successes.
