Board hears CFO update: 21st Century Learning Grant moving forward; federal funds delayed

Chief Financial Officer Dan Pedersen reviewed expenditures and recent trainings as part of the financial statement. Directors thanked Pedersen for timely reporting. Pedersen also described professional development and the School Finance Academy he recently began.
Superintendent Carolyn Bernal told the board there were no current updates on federal funding timing but said the 21st Century Learning Grant (after-school programming) "is going to move forward, so we will receive those funds." She added that districts in Oregon had not yet received the federal funds normally expected in July.
