Superintendent Aaron Duff told the board on March 10 that district enrollment stood at 1,540, essentially unchanged from the prior month.
Duff also announced the district is moving to purchase the property adjoining Ferndale School that had been subject to a lifetime easement since 1987. The district plans to place an FFA barn on the parcel after closing and expects construction to begin within roughly 30 days. Facilities staff are preparing fields for spring sports and custodial staff are planning spring-break projects.
Duff also reviewed the budget calendar and reminded the board of the Oregon Ethics filing window and the need for members to update filings by April 12, 2025.
