The Milton-Freewater Unified School District 7 Board voted March 10 to adopt revisions to district policy addressing suspected sexual conduct involving students and to update educator standards.
Superintendent Aaron Duff presented the second readings of GBNAA/JHFF (Suspected Sexual Conduct with Students and reporting requirements) and a GCAA update for Standards for Competent and Ethical Performance of Oregon Educators. Tim McElrath moved to adopt the policy changes; the board approved the adoption during the meeting record.
Additionally, Duff presented a first reading of policy AC (Nondiscrimination & Civil Rights) and AC-AR(I) (Discrimination or Civil Rights Complaint Procedure) for future action; those items were provided for review and were not acted on at this session.
