The board approved hiring Yazmin Alfaro as a 6-hour/10-month assistant cook and approved hiring Esmeralda Luna as an English teacher at Mendota Junior High; Luna’s hire was contingent upon receipt of a Short-Term Staff Permit.
Both motions were recommended by the interview panel and the Director of Food Services (Alfaro) and the site principal (Luna), and were approved by roll call vote. The minutes record the approvals under Action Items 10.1 and 10.2 and do not list any dissenting votes.
