Mendota Unified board approves custodial hires, coaches roster and accepts cook’s resignation

Trustee Sergio Valdez made the motion to approve the personnel slate, which was seconded by Trustee Sherry Charles and carried on a 6–0 roll-call vote with Trustee Raul S. Varela absent. The board also accepted the letter of resignation from Assistant Cook Alexandra Lopez (Yescas), effective after Nov. 4, 2024.
Superintendent Dr. Lopez and the interview panel recommended the hires, per the minutes. The board further voted to continue the Classified School Employee Summer Assistance Program (CSESAP) for the 2025–2026 school year. The minutes do not specify salary or step placement for the new hires.
