The approvals were included among action items on Oct. 23 and were adopted by a unanimous 7-0 vote. The Notice to Proceed authorizes contractor mobilization to perform required site work; the Technicon agreement covers testing services for phase 3B of the McCabe modernization.
Superintendent Dr. Lopez updated trustees on project timing and related site work, saying the fencing project at Mendota Elementary and MJHS "was moving along and would hopefully be finished by first part of November." He also told the board he expected Mendota Elementary construction to be completed in January, McCabe in March and the track coating to occur in the summer.
Trustees earlier in the meeting flagged minor delays at McCabe related to contractor or engineer issues; the board did not take separate or additional action beyond the contract approvals this session.
