At the Feb. 20 meeting, Chair Cynthia Wright read two formal complaints arising from remarks Director Jeff Kinsella made at the Jan. 23 meeting. Director Kinsella acknowledged making the remarks and read an apology he had emailed to parent Nathanael Swan; he apologized to the public and the board.
Board Director Suzanne Messer moved that the Board "find the conduct alleged in the complaint submitted against Jeff Kinsella are substantiated and that he be censured from now until the end of his term." The motion, seconded by Kendell Ferguson, passed unanimously with a roll call vote of Yea:7, Nay:0.
The board’s public record lists the complaints on the district website. No further disciplinary actions were taken at the Feb. 20 meeting beyond the formal censure; the motion’s language established the censure period as lasting through the remainder of Kinsella’s term.
