Consultants apologize for published names, tighten privacy in superintendent search

Doug Nelson and Heidi Sipe of McPherson & Jacobson reviewed the stakeholder-input report and apologized to community members whose names appeared in earlier materials. They said a new system and protocols are in place to avoid broadcasting or printing names in the stakeholder input report going forward.
Nelson and Sipe advised the board on how the report should be used in the superintendent search and stressed the value of comparing in-person feedback to online survey results. "One thing to be proud of is the consistency of the feedback across the district," the consultants said, and they cautioned that online surveys are not restricted to a single submission per person and therefore should be weighed alongside in-person input.
The consultants also described how they will deliver question categories and suggested matching survey results to their library of vetted interview questions to reflect the board's priorities.
