Jenny Corey, K–8 Coordinator, presented to the board on the Pendleton Virtual Learning Academy (PVLA) and Home Connection program. "This is PVLA’s fifth year," Corey said, and she described how staff connect with families through Google Meets, tutoring, art and writing clubs, in-person skills groups, and home visits. Corey emphasized meeting families where they are, including weekends, evenings and early mornings as needed.
Corey told the board the program continues to evolve; members thanked her and noted that her outreach and relationship-building are central to PVLA’s success. The board encouraged continued family engagement as the program develops.
