The Lago Vista Board of Adjustment on Aug. 3 elected James Peck as its chair and Ed Tidwell as vice chair after an initial appointment of Tidwell as chair pro tem to start the meeting. The board convened without elected officers and chose a temporary presiding officer so business could proceed.
The board voted to make Tidwell chair pro tem at the start of the meeting and later moved to elect permanent officers. After nominations and a second, the membership unanimously approved Peck as chair and Tidwell as vice chair. "All those in favor, say aye," Peck said, and the board responded in the affirmative. Board members also discussed that staff will continue to serve as the meeting secretary unless someone volunteers for the role.
