On Aug. 4 the court approved a package of personnel and policy items including elected officials’ salaries; the motion to approve the salaries was presented by Jazmin Miranda and carried unanimously (Villela/Hall). The Risk Manager job description was revised to update duties immediately and to have the position report directly to the Commissioners Court effective Oct. 1, 2026; that change passed without opposition.
Mona Porras, H.R. Director, presented a job title amendment changing the IT position of Radio Outfitter to Support Specialist, which the court approved. Commissioner Dianne Anderson raised concerns about county employees using county vehicles for personal use and proposed adding an acknowledgement when employees receive county vehicles or property; the court voted to add the acknowledgement, with County Judge Johnson recorded as voting against that motion.
Commissioner Anderson also requested moving the Sept. 15 court meeting to Sept. 14 because of a mission trip; the court approved the schedule change (Anderson/Villela). These items were recorded in the minutes with exhibits linked for personnel memoranda and job descriptions.
