The Port Orford-Langlois School District 2CJ budget hearing convened June 9, 2025, at 5:33 p.m. at Pacific High School Library and online. Superintendent Aaron Miller noted the budget committee had already voted on May 19, 2025 to adopt the proposed 2025–2026 budget and read aloud the budget adoption and tax rate resolution. Board member Carol Hacherl moved to adopt the budget resolution as read; Angel Ashdown seconded. Hacherl, Hockett and Ashdown voted in favor and the motion “passed unanimously; approved.”
Following the budget adoption, Angel Ashdown moved to adopt the 2025–2026 tax rate as presented; Carol Hacherl seconded. The three board members again voted unanimously in favor and the motion passed. There was no public input recorded during the hearing.
The committee then moved to adjourn. Angel Ashdown moved and Carol Hacherl seconded; the vote was unanimous and the meeting adjourned at 5:36 p.m. The record shows the action taken was formal adoption of the district's 2025–2026 budget and the accompanying tax rate.
