Miller said the state passed their funding but that the district remains uncertain about full funding for Student Investment Account (SIA) and high-school success dollars. He confirmed the district “did receive a Title I increase this year.” Miller also reported modifications to the COPS grant and said work on that project will begin once ordered doors arrive. On program development, he said approximately 27 families have expressed interest in a potential district homeschool program and that the district needs at least 20 students for the program to be viable; he has prepared information for staff and has ODE contacts to support families.
Miller framed the outreach as an effort to serve families who access education outside the district while maintaining strong classroom instruction: "while our classroom teaching is highly successful, we have a number of students and families that access education somewhere else and we want to be able to serve them." The board took the update as informational; no formal action was recorded.
