At its Dec. 16, 2024 regular meeting, the Splendora Independent School District Board of Trustees voted to approve a multi-item consent agenda that included the Financials, Tax Report, Investment Report and Accounts Payable totaling $8,221,633.83, three donor gifts, several vendor lists, and the adoption of new math curriculum for secondary grades.
The consent package included a $1,000 donation from the Pineywoods Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution to Splendora High School AFJROTC; $7,000 from the Splendora Athletic Booster Club to support golf bags, soccer uniforms and a sideline shelter; and $13,299.47 from Friends of Splendora Ag to the FFA program. The board also approved purchasing fencing and gates at Splendora High School and Timber Lakes Elementary, accepted the 2023 District Facility Safety and Security Audit, and approved recommended vendor lists for RFP 25-05 (technology equipment and services) and RFP 25-06 (food & groceries).
Trustee Kimberly Klepcyk moved the motion to approve the consent agenda; it was seconded by Vice President Dan Muirhead. The motion passed with six votes in favor and none opposed. The minutes record the adoption of Bluebonnet Learning Math for grades 6 through Algebra 1 as part of the consent items.
