District outlines safety upgrades, retraining and building assessments after BRIC review

BRIC assessment presenters Dave Johnson and Ken Bell provided an educational adequacy review and identified priorities including seismic improvements, accessibility issues and HVAC/plumbing needs. The BRIC timeline includes community engagement and the possibility the committee’s recommendation could lead to bond-focused meetings if trustees and the superintendent pursue that path.
The board asked clarifying questions about implementation and timelines; BRIC emphasized upcoming community meetings and data-gathering steps. The minutes show the district is taking a multi-pronged approach combining retraining, structural mitigation and outside assessment.
