The Port Orford-Langlois School District (SD 2CJ) Budget Committee voted unanimously May 19 to adopt the district’s 2025–2026 budget as presented. Ken Fliszar moved to approve the budget and Denise Willms seconded; Board Chair Judy Miles and all listed committee members voted in favor.
Superintendent Aaron Miller told the committee he had implemented a district spending freeze a few weeks before the meeting to keep budget projections conservative while awaiting final government funding numbers. Business Manager Tara Garratt said the draft budget was prepared using maximum budget-cut figures to avoid shortfalls; Miller noted June 30, 2025 as the earliest date when actual government budget numbers will be available. The meeting record shows no public input and the session adjourned at 5:46 p.m.
