Business Manager Tara Garratt told the board at the May 19 meeting that preparing the budget had been her primary focus for May, so a full financial report was not provided. She noted that the summer payroll run would occur on June 7 and that the district's new fiscal year is rolling over.
The consent agenda earlier in the meeting included approval of the April 21, 2025 regular meeting minutes and the April 21, 2025 Budget Committee minutes. Carol Hacherl moved and Angel Ashdown seconded approval of the consent agenda; all listed board members voted in favor.
Superintendent Aaron Miller also reported that COPS grant expenditures will be higher than anticipated, requiring adjustments to front-door security projects and raising the possibility of adding the Pacific High School electric gate to the project scope. No dollar amounts were provided in the minutes.
