Jasmine Sanchez of the Tax Office presented the venue and short-term rental tax collections for January and fiscal-year-to-date figures, reporting hotel-tax receipts of $182,966.69 for January and car-rental tax receipts of $75,794.30; monthly totals were up 6% compared with December.
Sanchez reported fiscal-year totals (hotel: $3,409,697.14; car: $1,201,327.72) and penalties collected, bringing combined totals reported to $4,620,141.55 for the fiscal year. She said $23,350,623.27 had been deposited into the venue bank account through Jan. 30, with disbursements of $7,910,640.62 and a balance of $15,430,982.65.
