The Corvallis School District Board of Directors voted unanimously on March 6 to approve annual contract renewals for licensed personnel, the board said at a specially called meeting that convened at 6:38 p.m. Chair Luhui Whitebear, Ph.D., presided; the meeting was held in the district boardroom and livestreamed.
Human Resources Director Jennifer Duvall told the board she had provided the contract documents to members before the meeting and would remain available to answer questions. In response to a question she said, "Contracts are different from staffing. Contracts ensure employees have job rights." Co‑Vice Chair Shauna Tominey, Ph.D., moved to approve the item and Director Judah Largent seconded. The vote was recorded as Yea from Tominey, Largent, Hawkins, Wang, Jones, Al‑Abdrabbuh and Chair Whitebear; the motion passed unanimously, 7‑0.
The board report states the documents will be archived in the official 2024‑25 board records. With the action complete and no further business, Chair Whitebear adjourned the meeting at 6:42 p.m.
