District hires SB 1383 compliance staffer; shredding event drew a large turnout

General Manager Robert Housley told the board the District recently hired a new employee to assist with implementation of the OC Waste & Recycling WISE agreement for SB 1383 compliance. He also announced that Mike Carrey of CR&R will retire at the end of the week. The staffing announcement was submitted as part of routine reports to the board.
Director of Services & Program Development Ashley Davies reported on the turnout and planning for community events, noting participation in an Open House and the Westminster City Teât Parade. President Chi Charlie Nguyen said members agreed the shredding event was "organized, well received, and had a large turnout."
