As part of an indoor air quality project at Fremont High School, several hard-surface floors were replaced with carpet. To maintain the new carpet, administration recommended purchase of a Minuteman X Ride 28 self-propelled carpet extraction machine from Egan Supply of Omaha at a not-to-exceed price of $24,286.67 using government purchase pricing. The board approved the purchase and funded it from the General Fund.
The motion was made by Jon Ludvigsen and seconded by Terry Sorensen; the recorded vote was unanimous (6–0). The minutes record vendor, model and price; they do not detail maintenance schedules or warranty terms.
