The district’s 2023–24 annual financial audit reported total revenues increased by 17% and an ending fund balance of $3.4 million, according to Ash Lakhani Farishta of Umpqua Valley Financial, who presented the audit via Zoom July 21.
Farish(a) — corrected in the meeting materials to Ash Lakhani Farishta — told the board, “Total revenues up by 17% the ending fund balance was $3.4M.” She said an overall summary appears on page 10 of the audit report and page 13 gives the total fund balance. Farishta reported no internal weaknesses or deficiencies were found during the audit. Business Manager Tara Garratt told the board the audit is complete and “everything balanced.” Judy Miles publicly thanked Garratt and Superintendent Aaron Miller for the work that produced the strong result.
The audit presentation concluded with the board recording appreciation for the finance staff’s organization and accuracy; the formal audit report was included in the board packet for review.
