"My name is Aaron McClosco. I'm the interim director of Public Works," McClosco said as he introduced the leadership team and a set of initiatives. He listed major investments: "These include $2,500,000 in roadway and transportation safety improvements, the multi year $25,000,000 roads program, and $50,000,000 in water system upgrades including PFOS mitigation." McClosco also described operational improvements completed in FY26 — a new utility billing system, payroll conversion to Munis, and steps toward an advanced metering rollout — and said FY27 work will emphasize a department-wide budget dashboard, procurement standard operating procedures, and expanded environmental health and safety training.
Committee members thanked staff and kept questions brief to preserve the meeting schedule. McClosco closed by introducing division leaders who then presented more detailed updates on engineering, highway and grounds, facilities, and water & sewer.
